A Virtual Visit to the Farm with Farm Sanctuary
Our children were treated to an in-house presentation by a humane educator from Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen, New York. Farm Sanctuary offers an age-appropriate introduction to issues of our food system, featuring the stories of the individual animals that call Farm Sanctuary home.

Enjoying VR to see the animals.

Holiday Cheer Day and Community Outreach
Holiday traditions provide great opportunities for connecting students, staff, and families. This past December, we marked one of Hudson Montessori School’s traditions of celebrating the season at our Holiday Cheer Day celebration. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the festivities of this magical time of year. We want to take this opportunity to thank Ms. Emma and Mr. Oscar, our wonderful music teachers, for all their hard work preparing the students for their musical performances.
The upper elementary students are proud to be raising funds for three very special charities that they have chosen. Thank you to all who donated! All donations benefit the following groups and helped our MMUN delegates achieve their sustainable development goals.
- Women Rising helps women find jobs and provides safety and shelter for women and children.
- The Hoboken Shelter provides food and aid for the homeless.
- Fund for the family of fallen Jersey City police officer Joseph Seals, who dedicated his life for our protection.

Councilman Solomon stops by and says “Thank You” to the students for their fundraising efforts.
The Nutcracker
Our elementary children took a short walk to view a holiday classic, “Jersey City Nutcracker,” by Nimbus Dance Works.

Enjoying the performance by Nimbus Works Jersey City.
Lower EL Presents
Thank you to all the parents who were part of our audience as our children performed during our annual Lower Elementary Presents event. This year, Galaxy presented three plays based on Aesop’s fables. Fables teach life lessons, something we value and work to instill in our students in the Galaxy class.

We are so proud of the children for giving their all towards their roles, speaking with expression, using body language to convey feelings, and memorizing their lines. Congratulations to all on a job superbly done!
Code Night (Hours of Code)
Thank you to all who came and joined us for our Hour of Code! Computer Science is an integral part of our STEAM curriculum. Apart learning how to utilize technology and its applications, students learned how to follow internet security, parts of the computer, its history, and how it has revolutionized our world.
